The expert special panel appointed by the Supreme Court to check and study the various allegations leveled against the strength and safety of the century old Mullaperiyar dam, will shortly submit its findings and reports to the supreme court of India in a sealed cover.

The Election Commission of India has announced the much awaited dates for the By-Election June 2012 for nine states that are ready to face the franchise of the people for different reasons. Totally there are 28 Assembly segments and three Loksabha constituencies spread across nine states preparing to go for the by poll in June 2012.
The actual by-election schedule in this regard is to be issued by the election commission of India on May 18th, 2012.
The last date for filing the nominations by the candidates is May 25th, 2012.
Nominations scrutiny will take place on May 26th
Last date for withdrawal of nominations is May - 28th, 2012.

The Board of Intermediate of A.P has promptly prepared and announced the results of the First Year Intermediate exams held in March-April, 2012. They have done a commendable work in time. The Central Government has told in the Supreme Court in the accidental shooting and killing of the Kerala fishermen by two Italian Marines, that the state government has no authority to detain the Italian Ship 'Enrica Lexie' and to carry out the shooting investigation as the incident occurred in the National Territory.
As this 'accidental shooting incident' has become a hot and spicy topic for several politicians and communal agents, many people who think above parochial and selfish motives feel that this incident was given too much of coverage by some political and communal forces and by some print and electronic media.

As the election Commission announcing to declare the by election 2012 notification to the 18 Assembly Constituencies and one Loksabha constituency shortly, the election heat has already increased in all the by ploo constituencies of Andhra Pradesh along with the summer climatic heat.
All the major contesting parties (YSRC, Congress and the TDP) have already fielded their candidates in almost all the places and have started their campaigns. Top Leaders of all these parties viz Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Vayalar Ravi and Botcha Satyanarayana and N Chandra Babu Naidu are striving hard for the victory of their candidates.
Another new party started by the controversial evangelist K A Paul by name 'Praja Shanti Party' also have declared to contest this polls. But they are badly hunting for candidates to field in the fray.
Though some pre poll surveys conducted by some popular poll survey agencies have already announced their results, which are hugely favoring Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR Congress Party. How ever people feel that it is too early to conduct and depend on pre election surveys, as the trend and mind of the voter can change at any time.
There is a talk among the people that the elections in Andhra Pradesh are a huge money game which involves distributing cash and kind in secret to votes and the so called mediators.

Today's opinion poll on Yahoo's front page is 'Whether West bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is turning in to a dictator...?' The people's opinion (of Yahoo visitors) was enough for any one specially Mamata Banerjee to make a self examination 'whether she is fit to continue as the Chief Minister?'
As of 11.00 am on Wednesday, 18th the result was 100% opinion that she is becoming a dictator. In any opinion polls the people's opinions are generally mixed and differ in whole. The result of this poll was really amazing with no one voting against the statement.
All the people voted 'yes' to the statement which read 'Is Mamata Turning into a dictator?' Not even one person voted 'no' to the poll question in favor of Mamata Benerjee's arrogant and rude behavior with the people, her own departments, and even to the coalition front in which she is an important partner.
It is quite normal for anyone to note that Mamata Benerjee's most decisions are anti people, anti organizational and dictatorial.
It is noteworthy to post this opinion poll on the front page of yahoo India when Mamata Banerjee is quoted as world's 100 influential women by the popular TIME Magazine...! As the election campaign for the 2012 by poll for the hot Legislative Assembly seat of Neyyattinkara in Kerala began, there is vigorous campaigning taking place there by both the rival fronts of Kerala - UDF and LDF.
While the UDF has decided to support R Selvaraj who has resigned from the LDF following rift with the left front leaders, the LDF has announced officially its candidate F Lawrence, who is a loyal CPI(M) activist and a member of the Nadar community to which R. Selvaraj also Belongs. The BJP who hopes for a better performance in the constituency is planning to field O.Rajagopal as its candidate.
While some people who are BJP sympathizers believe if the BJP works properly, leaving aside their differences they (the BJP) can win this seat as the main election battle is between two people belonging to the same NADAR community and same Religion.
How ever it is seen as a tough time for the UDF, different from that of the Piravom experience, owing to their constant fight inside for the Muslim League's fifth ministry and all the controversies that followed...!

The popular Malayalam comedy and character actor Jagathi Srikumar who has undergone multiple surgeries following the severe road accident a month ago near Kozhikode, is now shifted to C M C Vellore for further neurological treatment.
The road accident was so dangerous that he is still unable to speak and move normally, even after continued and special treatment of several specialists.
Thanks to all those who prayed for his recovery. please continue to pray that we should not lose a highly talented actor like Jagathy.

As the Muslim League's fifth minister controversy and the delay in the swearing in of Anoop jacob has been solved in the Kerala State Cabinet, it is the time for the by poll battle. There is little good news for a sigh of relief for those who were fear gripped with the tsunami warnings and updates. The latest breaking news is that though some warnings continue in Indonesia, warnings issued hours back for some Indian Ocean countries have been lifted. With this latest breaking news, many people who were fear stricken are releasing a sigh of relief.
Many South East Asian Countries were issued a possible tsunami warning, as aftershocks of the massive two earth quakes measuring high magnitude by the Pacific Tsunami warning Center. These countries include India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and the gulf countries.
In India, mild tremors rocked Mumbai measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale that increased the fear, though no causalities reported. In the low lying coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, the administration is still evacuating the people as a precautionary measure. However, the intensity of the fear appears to be lessened with the coming of fresh re-leaving breaking news.

The ongoing row and sensational statements of the Indian Army's chief General V.K Singh on the Government of India and its prestigious army created a lot of flutter and was 'very alarming'. There are some establishments in the country that are revered much and the Military Service is one of them.
The 'discipline of the military' is taught as an example in schools and colleges. And the obedience, perseverance and the loyalty of the defense personnel are considered as the best and exemplary.
Many great generals served in the Indian Army, starting from General Kariappa. They gave their best to their departments out of their love for their mother lands. The recent controversial remarks and disclosures of the out going army general V.K Singh on the condition of the great Indian Army was very alarming and unfortunate.
People of the country are of the opinion that the general had some 'personal agenda' and as they were foiled, he was depressed and attacking and finding faults with the institution for which he was serving.
Today's news report in the popular Indian daily, Indian Express (April 4th, 2012) was very shocking and it raises a doubt in the people's minds that the army chief general V.K Singh hacked and planned an unsuccessful army coup d'etat on January 16th and 17th, 2012 which was identified by the IB and immediately foiled.
The paper showed clear proof of two key units of the Indian Army marched towards the National Capital without informing the Ministry of Defense or others concerned. However the Intelligence Bureau spotted this movement of the army units and the they were ordered to return back immediately. It was on that day the army chief general VK Singh approached the Supreme Court with regard to his date of birth issue.
Any how it is an eye opener for the corrupt and selfish politicians to be alert and work for the country and her people.

As the By polls for the seventeen Legislative Assembly Constituency are on the way in Andhra Pradesh to be held in 2012 itself, Even though the Election Commission has not made any official announcement yet, there is a big question and fear is mounting in the minds of all the Major Political Parties in the fray and the leaders of those parties. Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR Congress Party, which has shocked all the others in the election battle held earlier, is still a major threat for the ruling Congress Party and the Telugu Desam in the state.
The division in Congress party has given a lot of confidence for the Telugu Desam Pary (TDP) and its supremo Chandra Babu Naidu to gain out of the division. The people's opinion on the present political situation is very complex. It is high time for the ruling Congress to win the hearts of the Telugu People to avoid dismay at the end like in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
Most of the people of Andhra Pradesh are vexed with the interference of some selfish politicians like a APCC President Botcha Sathyanarayana in the functioning of the government and the affairs of the various sections. Every one knows that, a thief who steals for some time will be surely caught one day. We are seeing many powerful politicians including Central Ministers are behind the Tihar Jail bars. How ever the desire to loot the people's wealth is only increasing in the minds of many politicians, bureaucrats, officials including the judiciary and defense services.

The division in Congress party has given a lot of confidence for the Telugu Desam Pary (TDP) and its supremo Chandra Babu Naidu to gain out of the division. The people's opinion on the present political situation is very complex. It is high time for the ruling Congress to win the hearts of the Telugu People to avoid dismay at the end like in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
Most of the people of Andhra Pradesh are vexed with the interference of some selfish politicians like a APCC President Botcha Sathyanarayana in the functioning of the government and the affairs of the various sections. The huge excise corruptions of Botcha Satyanarayana is a regular serial story in the popular Telugu News Paper 'Eanadu' and their electronic media "ETV"...! Even then those involved and involving in corruption are not trying to correct their ways...!

With the completion of the By election successfully in the prestigious Piravom Assembly segment, now it is yet another by poll which is very important for both the fronts in Kerala, the ruling UDF and the opposition LDF...!As the sitting left MLA R. Selvaraj resigned from his Kerala State Assembly Membership owing to rifts and irreparable differences with the LDF leadership, another by poll has become inevitable for the state which is a prestige issue for both the rival fronts.
As the Congress has decided to support Selvaraj's candidature (though K. Muraleedharan, as usual has started opposing it), the majority opinion of the people is that in the present scenario, Selvaraj would win. How ever nobody is ready to take anything for granted as the previous results of Punjab and UP elections taught strange lessons to the parties.
Many common people are of the opinion that, all the coalition partners in the UDF should behave responsibly keeping aside all their selfish positions and posts for the successful implementation of the welfare policies and projects of the Oommen Chandy Government in Kerala.
The UDF allies like the Muslim League, Kerala Congress (M) , Kerala Congress (B), etc etc...that always have differences with one another and fight often for positions, must understand the sensitivity of the present situation and should be ready to forgo some selfish motives.
Many people think that the chief whip of the UDF P.C George, should speak as a matured politician rather than just like a child....!
If they do not act and behave with sense, they may all pay heavily for it just as their friends did in the North...!
