Some 121 girls of Kasargde in the Malabar area of Kerala set a historical record today by performing a Mega Oppana Program. The first of its kind show ever held by such a big group is aiming to enter the Limca Book of Records and the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records.
According to the Organizers, the mega event became a reality with the active support and cooperation of the entire people of the area. The expenses amounting to Rs.2 lakhs was donated by the public people.
Oppana, a traditional Malayalam song with dance is performed during Muslim Marriages in Kerala, particularly in the Malabar region of Kerala State which is in the northern part of Kerala.
