Idea Star Singer Season 6 (ISS Season 6) Grand finale final winner is Merin Gregory.

The sixth season of the popular Malayalam Musical Reality show on Asianet TV, Idea Star Singer has come to an end with the announcement of the final winner on December 22nd (Saturday) in a comparitively low profile program that was telecast live.

The show which commenced at 6 pm lasted for several hours. Bollywood musical director Hariharan was the chief guest and judge and Malayalam singers and directors viz M.G Srikumar, M J Jayachandran, Chitra and Anuradh Sriram were the other judges.

Kerala's Un-Aided (Private) CBSE Teachers paid very poor salaries. Shocking injustice...!

The findings and revalations by leading Malayalam News channel Asianet News on the plight of most Private Un-aided teachers working in the rich and famous CBSE Schools in the state is really shocking. Most poor but highly qualified teachers working in the rich and reputed CBSE Schools are paid very mean and humiliating salaries by the managements.

Kerala State which is known as 'God's own country' is treating 'Teachers' who are considered next to god in purannas. Asianet news investigation has revealed the malafied activities and attitudes of the School and College Managements who are just like butchers collecting huge fees and donations from the parents of the students and paying very little to the teachers who bring fame and name to the institutions.

The funniest fact is that even missionary schools are no different from the individual managements that run educational institutions as an easy business for multiplying one's investment in short time. Both the left and right wing governments hold unholy nexus with these managements and fear to take any action against them or bring some policies in this aspect.

Ironically, The average wage for a daily laborer is about Rs. 700/- and a Post Graduate Teacher is about Rs.100/- or even lesser. Many teachers feel ashamed to tell these facts and the managements take this as an opportunity to take undue advantage of their poor  plight.

Kudos to Asianet for bringing to light such noble hidden issues which other news channels may hesitate for many reasons...!!!

UPA II Government's major Cabinet reshuffle: October 28th, 2012. Latest Union Ministers

The major and final reshuffle of the Indian prime Minister Manmohan Singh's council of ministers on October 28th, 2012 concluded in New Delhi just now. Many old faces have been dropped and new faces included to give the UPA II government a re-invigoration which faced the maximum number of corruption charges in the history of any Government in India.

The swearing-in ceremony commenced at 11.31 am and ended at 12.11 pm. A total of 22 members sworn-in as the members of the union council of ministers. Out of them seven (7) are included in the union cabinet and 2 are appointed as ministers of state with independent charges and 13 as ministers of state.

The Prime Minister said that is disappointed as Rajive Gandhi did not join his government in the last possible revamp of his UPA II Government.

There are many talents in this council of minsters and the congress party, the UPA and the government is expecting to regain some lost reputation with the final major reshuffle.

Corruption alleged Union Law Minister Salman Kurshid's portfolio is changed.

Though the government is optimistic of the revamp, people who have lost faith in the ruling Government think that this is a last chance for those loyal politicians who did not get an opportunity to plunder something using their newly entrusted power....!

US Presidential Election 2012: Barack Obama vs Mitt Romney: Who will be the Next (45th) US President ...?

The world is keenly and anxiously watching towards the US presidential elections 2012 to be held in less than two weeks from now. The two presidential candidates, sitting Democrats president Barack Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney are left in the fray for the final fight. All the open debates have ended with one held in Florida on Tuesday with neither of the Candidates winning a knock-out punch ...!

Though opinion polls give little weightage to president Obama, Mitt Romney's side also are of the opinion of a marginal victory. Hence neck to neck fight is sure. The results of Opinion polls may not (need not) be exact hence still there is a mixed response in the probable out come of the prestigious presidential election 2012.

Any how within two weeks time there will be an end to all the anxiety and America will have the 45th President elected.

Cooking Gas cylinder capping to six/year - A big blow to the common man.

The recent move by the central government to cap the number of subsidized cooking gas cylinders to the families at six a year is considered as a great blow on the poor common man.

Though some political parties raised their voices against this move for some time, it appears as they have left all the agitations. Because no one in any political party in India is facing the practical difficulties and miseries faced by the aam aadmi, the common poor man, whom all circle worship during the election seasons only...!

Some political leaders suggested ... one gas cylinder is sufficient for two months for an average family of four members...!

The one who said this statement should try it in his/her house and find out for how many days one family of four can use a cylinder of gas...!

The article by India's popular management guru Arindham chowdary in a leading news paper stating the misuse of subsidised gas cylinders by top leaders of the country including the vice President was shocking.

Most rules and decisions of the governments are affecting the poor common man only. The rich are not worried about the increasing cost of commodities and other things day by day. Asianet 'Lunars Comedy express' launched with spectacular performances

The people who are leading a hefty and tense life style now-a-days are interested to spend some lighter moments before the TV channels during their leisure hours. Increase the number of subsidised Gas cylinders atleast to 12/year. Central Minister K V Thomas too writes to PM

The recent decision of the Central ministry to increase Rs.5/- five on the price of one liter diesel and to cap/cut the number of cooking gas cylinders to six per year was a terrible blow to the aam aadmi (ordinary common man), who is struggling hard to make both the ends meet these days due to the sky rocketing of essential commodities and food prices.

The UPA II Government came to power promising pro poor policies that will be beneficial to the low and middle income people of the country.The frequent increase of petrol and diesel by the UPA 2 Government has already won the wrath of the people who voted it to power. And the government's stubborn stand with a deaf ear against the cries and the warnings of the Opposition and some allies are also being watched by the people with great concern.

It is laudable and appreciable that  at least one minister in the ruling front has come out boldly to indirectly protest the government's decision at last. Prof K V Thomas, the food and consumer affairs Minister has written a letter to the Prime Minister to reconsider the capping of the domestic gas cylinders and to increase the number from six.All the elected representatives of the people kept mum in this regard except TMC party chief Mamata banerjee. (Unfortunately her warnings are not seriously considered as he is used to it...!)

According to the popular opinion of the cooking gas consumers, particularly the women, every ordinary family requires at-least one gas cylinder every month. If the requirement is above that, the Government can fix a special price per cylinder as suggested by Minister K V Thomas.

Anyhow, the diesel price hike has started to show its influence by the steep and sudden increase of prices of everything including transport charges.

All these never affect the rich and affect the poor to some extend, but the greater victims are the middle class people whose income is less and are not covered in many of the schemes of the government meant for the BPL ....!

Blasphemous movie 'Innocence of Muslims' Videos, Movies and Cartoons... Punish the film makers, producers and authors

The latest movie 'Innocence of Islam / Muslims' by an American depicting / insulting Prophet Mohammed has already created widespread condemnation and violence by the Muslims and it is spreading to many countries. Even in the past too, there were many instances of creating films and cartoons defaming prophets and hurting the sentiments of millions of people and has claimed hundreds of innocent lives across the globe.

Freedom to speech and expression is granted to the citizens of many countries of the world. Freedom of expression is a good thing. But it should not be misused to insult the revered personalities or persons whom many consider as God, Incarnation of God or messengers of God.

The ones who indulge in such practices of sowing the seeds of enmity  and distress should not be supported or protected by any countries. They should be treated as hard core terrorists and granted  exemplary  punishments so that others will not try to follow suits for cheap and mean publicity, popularity and financial and other advantages.

Recently another incidence of insulting Lord Jesus Christ by a European cartoonist also hurt the sentiments of millions of Christians who believe and worship Lord Jesus as the incarnation of Almighty God. Recently another popular  Indian producer- Anupam Kher is understood to be creating another Religious blasphemous movie which has already created furors among the Christian and Muslim communities.

It is very easy to create a communal unrest.... but it is very difficult to control it...!

YSR Congress Party gave a call for a state-wide bundh on August 31, 2012 against the A.P. government's failure to provide uninterrupted power for the past many months. All the common people including business class, industrialists, students, employees, agriculturists were literally cursing those who were responsible for the total failure, which the state has never witnessed.

Most people opine that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and many ministers in his team are non-performers and are not eligible at all to run a state. According to people's public opinion the state which was leaping forward in terms of growth has gone backward few decades for lack of vision in the leaders.

A government is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the state. It is not just a 'child's play'. Those who can guide the state ahead and lead it to prosperity only should accept the posts of C.M and other Ministers. Unfortunately now-a-days posts are granted by high commands as gifts to loyal people on various other parameters. Whereas in the past, workability and capability along with honesty and fairness were weighed high and given more preference while choosing leaders to rule.

Though the cause for today's 'bundh' was a most common one, it was noted that other political parties keeping away from the YSRCP sponsored bundh. How ever the people who are very much affected by the unscheduled and improper power cuts, voluntarily joined the 'peaceful hartal' and made it a grand success across the entire state of A.P.

It was also noted with sadness other Telugu TV News channels except Sakshi News did not give any report of the bundh situation. An apolitical or non partisan person expects the media and political parties to join together to condemn a public issue, irrespective of political or business rivalry...!!!
